Listing Criteria

How startups get on the map.

VC Maps is curated by Hartmann Capital. Every company featured on our market maps is reviewed by our team before inclusion. We maintain editorial discretion over which companies appear.

Minimum credibility standards

To be listed, a startup must meet at least one of the following:

  • Venture backing from a reputable, institutional investor — verifiable on the investor's website or a recognized data source.
  • Press coverage from a reputable news outlet (e.g. TechCrunch, Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times, or equivalent).

Editorial discretion

Hartmann Capital retains the right to omit, remove, or decline any company that does not meet our credibility standards — or for any other editorial reason. Submission does not guarantee inclusion. We may request additional information before listing a company.

Corrections & updates

If you believe a listing contains an error, or if your company has had a material change (new funding round, rebrand, etc.), you can suggest an edit. We review all submissions within a few business days.
